ASB Election: Meet the Candidates

ASB is an important part of any school, they are the students voices and the leaders of the school. As such, they plan most of the events for students and staff like class competitions and spirit weeks.

That’s why it is important this upcoming Friday, April 3 to vote for ASB in the elections.

The elections will be on paper ballots this year and will be held before and after school from 9:00-9:30 a.m. and from 12:25-12:35 p.m in front of the office.

Positions that the candidates will be running for are ASB President, ASB Vice President, ASB Secretary, ASB treasurer, Senior Class President, Senior Vice President, Junior Class President, Junior Vice President, Sophomore Class President, Sophomore Vice President, and Link Crew Director.

While senior leadership positions are done by election, general staff positions are available through application. Those will come out on April 13th and are due April 24th.

Candidates for President

The ASB President serves the school as the chief executive of student government, leading the executive board and cabinet, presiding over meetings and representing the student body at school events and before the District Board of Education. This role requires a senior who can manage a large team, make decisive calls and communicate clearly and confidently with students, staff and district leadership. Candidates for Vice President

The ASB Vice President works directly under the President, oversees the Events Committee, serves as the ASB liason to the Parent Booster Club (the Wolfpack) and leads the annual revision of the ASB constitution. This position is perfect for a student who will do well in a support leadership role and who is able to clearly and confidently coordinate people and events. The ASB Secretary manages ASB's records and communications, including meeting minutes, the master calendar and all social media posts (pending adviser approval). The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining financial records, creating and monitoring the ASB budget, approving expense requests, and generating fundraising opportunities.
