“My name is Kyle Cao, and I am a sophomore at MECA. I am currently running for the Vice President ASB position. This role is vital for our events and leadership in ASB. I plan to help create events relevant to our community that ensure as much participation as possible. After being the class Vice President for the sophomore class, I have had the opportunity to experience firsthand what needed fixing in our events, so I am determined to make things more enjoyable, and I hope we all have a fun time! I want people to feel included and know that ASB is approachable and that everyone’s voice is heard. It has become apparent that the people who are heard are the loud ones, but sometimes they aren’t the majority. So with that being said, I hope to allow the people who aren’t as loud but also want their needs met to be satisfied with our work!
I enjoy drawing a lot as a hobby, but it has gotten out of hand at some point, and I probably spent more money on sketchbooks than actual notebooks… Another fun fact I have is that I can name about two-thirds of the countries in the world, though I might be rusty at it.
My future goals are to be a pediatrician because I find joy in caring for people younger than me. I’m the oldest in my family, so I often had to take care of my siblings and younger cousins. I also found chemistry really interesting and fun, so being in the medical field is a perfect fit for me!”
