As April comes to an end, marking the start of the final month for seniors, the very first week of May is very celebratory. May opens with “Teacher’s Appreciation Week,” which celebrates the hard work of all the teachers and staff on campus with special food service and students’ appreciation for them.
“Teacher’s Appreciation Week is a celebration for the hard work of all the staff and the teachers. The teachers are offered a special breakfast and typically enjoy a personalized note, classroom supply donations, and special recognition,” said Crystal Guevara
This week could be a very memorable time for the teachers and the staff. Due to this celebration, the teachers could receive many gifts from students. Not just that, but this celebration in general is meant to make teachers feel that they’ve been doing very hard work and that it’s very honorable.
“I feel like it’s a nice gesture. Because I feel like I’m appreciated all the time, just like when people like randomly give me a cookie or when people came by at lunch, but it’s nice to have like a solid week of good things that are appreciated,” said Guevara
During this event, students could also have a strong feeling for the teachers, and due to that, they can buy gifts or create something that they think could be memorable for the teacher. After all, the teachers have been educating the students for a long time.
“I think this is a very good event for the teachers to have because they’ve been doing their job and patiently helping the students to be educated well in their best way, and so this event is a time to honor the teachers for doing such hard work,” said freshman(9th) Christian Mendez.
As the celebration goes on this week, we hope all the teachers will have a good time, and the students can go and tell their teacher that they are thankful for the teachers’ dedication to the students.
