The Media Program at Mt. SAC Early College Academy (MECA) is having a fundraiser. On Thursday, April 23, 2026, MECA’s Journalism program will hold a fundraiser at Dave’s Hot Chicken.

The restaurant is located at 222 S. Citrus Street, West Covina, CA 91791, and the fundraiser will start at 4 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. By ordering and buying food, participants will be helping the class get better equipment, meaning better and more content. This will also benefit MECA overall, as it can lead to a better yearbook and more high-quality broadcasts.
In order to donate, one must scan the code at the register at the restaurant, or one can order online on the day of the fundraiser through the Dave’s app or https://daveshotchicken.com/ using the fundraiser code “give,” and Dave’s Hot Chicken will donate 20% of your order.
