It is officially in the second half of the 2025-2026 school year, which means our class of ‘26 seniors have entered their last semester of high school as Mt SAC Early College Academy (MECA) students. Here is a preview of all the big events that seniors will want to attend to kick off the end of their school journey.
Secondly, there will be a FAFSA (Federal Student Aid) and CADAA (California Dream Act Application) information night for seniors on Feb. 19. Location and times will be disclosed by ASB at a later date.
Firstly, Career Day presentations are scheduled for March 20. This is a great opportunity to hear from professionals about their experience in their respective fields and hopefully get a new perspective on what you want to pursue for a career. Look out for future announcements to choose what presentations you want to attend.
Secondly, the Sadie Hawkins dance, formerly known as the spring fling dance, will be held in the MPR on March 27. This is the last chance for seniors to attend their last spring high school dance. Look forward to future announcements for the time and ticket sales from ASB.
Prom will be held on May 2. The venue, ticket prices, and times will be disclosed by ASB at a later date, so be on the lookout!
The Summer Social will be held near the basketball courts on May 15. Free food and drinks will be provided, as well as a water slide and other activities. More details will be disclosed by ASB at a later date.
The annual Senior Awards ceremony will be held on May 19. Selected seniors will be awarded for their academic achievements and communal contributions throughout the school year. Locations and times will be disclosed by ASB at a later date.
Senior school finals will take place from May 25 to May 28. Try your hardest to end your high school years on the strongest note you can.
Grad Bash will be hosted once again at Universal Studios Hollywood on May 28. Take this as an opportunity to spend time with your high school peers one last time at the entertainment capital of Los Angeles. Times will be disclosed by ASB at a later date.
This Senior Beach trip and Senior Sunset will both happen on June 1. Times and locations will be disclosed by ASB at a later date.
Graduation practice will be held at West Covina High School (WCHS) on June 2, with the Graduation Ceremony starting later that day at 7 pm. This is the finish line! After this, you are officially high school graduates. Congratulations!
Although Graduation seems to be a long time away, this semester will go by quickly. So, try to make the most of your last few months as high schoolers and make memories you won’t forget.
