MECA is hosting a mini-class competition amongst the students at MECA surrounding the games Mario Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Alex Palacios and Gabe Nichols planned a class competition about Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros.

Students can come to spend time with their friends and try their hand at some common Esports games.

This class competition differs from previous class competitions, utilizing Nintendo games instead of the physical games that students at MECA typically participate in during Class competitions.

“Me and Mr. Nichols just wanted to do a house competition amongst the students here at MECA, and we decided to do…Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers,” said Palacios.

This event will take place on Monday and Tuesday after school from 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. during finals week. There is no cost, and no sign-up is required. All the equipment is provided, but it is optional to bring your own specialized controller from home.

For questions, contact Alex Palacios or Gabe Nichols.
