Creative and kind freshman Anahi Vasquez joins us here at Mt. SAC Early College Academy. She is attending MECA with her older brother, junior Jesus Vazquez.  When she first heard of this school, she was eager to learn more about MECA and was excited to be a student here.

Some of Anahi’s favorite classes here are English, Spanish, and Art. She loves these classes because of the lively and joyful atmosphere the teachers bring. She also says, “[T]hese classes make me feel [so welcomed and happy].”

“I love how everyone here is so nice [and] I also love how they have so many clubs for your interests and hobbies. Another thing is that there’s so much space to walk around instead of [just] one hallway,” Anahi describes.

Anahi has joined many clubs such as Jewelry Club, Cat Club, Craft Club, Comic and Illustration Club, and Film Club. She has joined all these clubs because they align with her interest in creating art, making animations, and allow her to explore new things.

“[I’m] trying to learn new skills from[my clubs and] art class. It is very important to me since [these] classes can improve my art skills for my dream career.” She says

With all the clubs she’s joined and college classes she plans to take, she says, “I believe the best thing to [balance] college class is creating a good study area, setting goals, focusing on daily highlights, and not overworking on my assignments.”

With all the clubs she joined and the college classes she plans on taking, she is ready to pursue her dream career in animation!
