Students and staff members came together in the MPR on Jan. 29 to watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie with plenty of great reactions during Movie Night.

Movie Night was  from 4:30-6:00 p.m. and hosted by ASB in the multipurpose room. Gabriel Nichols, ASB’s adviser, thought that the event went well with the amount of students that attended.

“I think [Movie Night] went wonderful… I thought this one, from what we did, we did a good job with it… We provided a good opportunity, and the students that wanted to join joined,” Nichols said.

Some volunteers agreed that Movie Night went well, like Ryan Huynh, a sophomore, saying, “I believe it was really fun. Today, for movie night, everything cost a dollar so it was really nice to have a lot of customers to buy [Volleyball Club’s] pizzas, our drinks, and our chips.”

With the audience in the room focused on Mario fighting Bowser at the end, it appeared as if everyone had a fun time within the MPR. The timing of this movie is also good, as The Super Mario Bros. Movie has an upcoming sequel releasing later this year.

Huynh said, “I think the movie was great. I mean, Super Mario is a really cool movie and I think it is a really good movie to choose for movie night because there is a new up and coming movie[, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie]. So I do believe that Super Mario is a pretty good choice.”
