Listening pensively, Sophia Gomez Morando (9), Cassia Fung (9), Adelina Kenworthy (9), and Natalia Mora (9) give their full attention to the campus tour guide. The tour guide explains programs that may be of interest to the group of students.

Grinning, Albert Martinez (10) sticks his head out of the window of his bus, calling out to the students still waiting outside. The last bus—of the three—came late to pick up, and many students were left waiting outside on the sidewalk in the sun for much longer than the rest of the groups.

Standing on the sidewalk, Matthew Johnson (PE Teacher), watches over the surrounding students, keeping track of any stragglers and misbehavior. Following the end of the Mt. SAC trip, many students were left waiting for their bus in a large group, taking up more than half of the sidewalk with their numbers.

Turning to catch a stray ball, Makenna Chung (10) runs towards it, hoping to receive the ball, keeping the game going. Instructed to return to a nearby eating area, Sophomores and Freshman alike gathered at the patch of grass, enjoying the shade, seats, and open area it provided.

Playing with snow, Ryan Huynh (10) and Ethan Bymaster (10) were very surprised about there being snow at Mt. SAC. While passing a field, the student realized that there was snow on the grass, so they ran to go play with it. “It was very weird feeling snow as a Californian,” said Bymaster.

While touring the Mt. SAC tutoring center (ASAC), John Paul Mayoralgo (10), Albert Martinez (10), Juan Franco (10), and Julian Partida (10) learn about the medical resources and models provided to students. After visiting the connected computer lab, students were informed of the available tutoring, methods to sign in, and the spaces open to all students of the college. Listening actively to the campus tour guide for instruction, Brandon Dimian (10) sips his morning coffee, waking up for the long walk to come. Students spent a good part of the day walking around the campus in their respective tour groups, learning about the classes, benefits, and spaces for studying at the Mt. SAC campus. Listening to the librarian, Emme Manuel (10), Savannah Banuelos (10), and Rena Wang (10) learned how to access Mt. SAC Library using their student ID card. While touring the Mt. SAC Library, the librarian showed students where to borrow books. “Mt. SAC is such a great place with so many resources,” said Wang.

Waiting for their classmates, Delaylah Gamarra (10), Hailey Huizar (10), and Ari Tejada (10) stood in the shade to listen to the Mt. SAC tour guide. MECA´s group of students just came out of the library, listening to their tour guide about where they will go next. “The Mt. SAC campus was super cool” said Tejada.
